World Parks, World Cup is an initiative of Friends of Mutale centred around the Pafuri Node of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area where we use football to create safe spaces for children to play, learn and to discuss any social issues within their community. In 2017 Friends of Mutale secured a 3-year partnership with Coaches Across Continents, a global leader in 'Education Outside the Classroom & Purposeful Play to move the project forward.
Over the last few years we have trained up local teachers and coaches in sport for social development across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique in the Makuleke, Mutele and Makuya communities of South Africa, the Malipati Area of Zimbabwe and the Pafuri area of Mozambique.
Currently, we are creating a girls league for primary schools across the region where the regional winners will play in an international final based in Pafuri, Mozambique.
World Parks, World Cup is now a registered Non-Profit Organisation in South Africa -230-875 NPO. For more information on this project please visit the dedicated website below.
